Arrive at Durban’s King Shaka International Airport and are met by AAMT. We transfer you to your hotel in the beautiful coastal town of Kwa-Zulu Natal North Coast. Tonight, we gather as a herd of mighty African Buffalo to “graze” in true African style. We welcome each other to the herd and plan our “stampede” to Cape Town. We fall asleep to the sound of the waves breaking on the coastline.
Day 1: Balito - Kokstad
We “stampede” out of this beautiful coastline town and ride along the beautiful coastal roads through the Port City of Durban and the Kwa-Zulu Natal South Coast. We then head inland towards Kokstad gateway to the Eastern Cape and Transkei, admiring the spectacular scenery as we make our way. We travel through rolling hills, spectacular plantations and Zulu villages, where the mighty King Shaka of the Zulu once reigned. Tonight we sleep among the plantations.
Day 2: Kokstad – Port St Johns
Leaving this beautiful part of the country, we head through the stark and beautiful Transkei. Known for its wide-open landscapes dotted with colourful African villages. Riding through the valleys, where our Iconic leader, Nelson Mandela, was born and herded the family cattle as a young boy. We visit his birthplace in the village on Qunu. We continue towards the Wildcoast of South Africa and its amazing scenery and wild coastline on our way to the wild seaside village of Port St Johns. Tonight we fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on this rugged shipwrecking coastline.
Day 3: Port St Johns – East London
We visit the spectacular Hole in the Wall. We continue today towards the capital Mtatha and visit the Nelson Mandela Museum. The Museum is dedicated to the life of this iconic world leader. We continue through the beautiful Transkei with it’s stunning rivers and valleys on our way to East London while still enjoying the open roads of the Transkei. We arrive in East London known for some of the best beaches in this country.
Day 4: East London – Port Elizabeth
Our 2 wheel motorcycle adventure continues along this beautiful coast towards Port Elizabeth and its world-famous Addo Elephant National Park. We ride this coast line visiting coastal enclaves such as Kenton-On-Sea with its natural beauty and Port Alfred and its graceful architecture. On our way to Port Elizabeth, the 5th largest City in South Africa. Port Elizabeth is famous for its Addo Elephant National Park, the third-largest National Park in the country, awesome beaches, stunning coastline scenery and excellent surfing beaches.
Day 5: Addo Elephant National Park
We spend the day on Safari in the Addo Elephant Park and its hundreds of Elephants and large game. We enjoy the day marvelling at how these great creatures interact with each other as family and friends. Tonight we fall asleep in this amazing part of the world as we barbecue and watch bush t.v, as the flames flicker from the fire.
Day 6: Port Elizabeth – Plettenburg Bay
Today we continue our Adventure along this picturesque coastline and head for Plettenburg Bay – the gateway to the Garden Route. Riding through the Garden Route and its magnificent scenery, we head to the Tsitsikama National Park and its beautiful view of the Stormsriver mouth. We enjoy a snack at a very interesting local restaurant. The owner is a collector of antique motorcycles and also loves Elvis. So you can only imagine what awaits you as you snack on some of his delicacies.
Our trip continues over a secret pass through to Natures Valley and its citrus plantations on our way to “Plett” – as it is fondly known by the locals. We visit the world’s highest bungee jump from a bridge (217m) and should your guide convince you, you will have the most thrilling and exhilarating experience of your life, as you plummet to the valley and river below you, at terrifying speed. But the choice is yours.
